Heavy rains trap Darkuman, Amomole residents
Residents of Darkuman Official Town are facing a critical situation as heavy rains have caused severe flooding, leaving many trapped in their homes on Thursday.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has responded swiftly, deploying a rescue team from its Headquarters sub-station to assist those in distress.
Crews are actively engaged in efforts to ensure the safety of affected residents.
In a related development, the Anyaa Fire Station is also conducting rescue operations for residents stranded in Amomole due to similar flooding conditions, according to a statement posted on Facebook.
Fire Service personnel are on the ground, providing essential support and working tirelessly to rescue those impacted by the ongoing downpour.
Authorities have urged residents to stay safe, avoid unnecessary travel, and remain indoors as the rains continue.
The GNFS has reaffirmed its commitment to aiding those in need and reminded the public to contact their control room at 192 or 030 2772446 for emergency assistance.
Residents are encouraged to take precautionary measures during this challenging weather, as rescue teams continue their efforts to manage the flooding situation and ensure public safety.
