Best Christmas Gift: Bawumia reunites with 4-year-old cured leper he sponsored for treatment

Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has described his reunion with Priscilla, a four-year-old cured leper from the Weija Leprosarium, as his "best Christmas gift."
Dr Bawumia took to Facebook to share the emotional encounter, recounting how Priscilla, whom he had sponsored for medical treatment in Italy, visited him at his home to express her gratitude and showcase her remarkable recovery.
“I got my best Christmas gift yesterday when Priscilla, a four-year-old cured leper from the Weija leprosarium whom I sponsored for medical treatment of her amputated leg in Italy, returned to Ghana and paid me a visit at home to thank me and show that she can now walk with her new leg. To God be the glory,” the Vice President wrote.
Priscilla, who underwent treatment for her amputated leg, now walks confidently with the aid of a prosthetic leg, a visible testament to her resilience and the life-changing support she received.
