Ablekuma Joma: GPRTU marches over bad roads
Members of the Ghana Private Road and Transport Union (GPRTU) at Ablekuma Joma in Accra on Monday, 21 October 2019 demonstrated over the poor nature of the roads in the area.
The demonstration left several passengers stranded as commercial vehicles failed to operate.
The drivers said all attempts to get the authorities to fix the roads have proved futile, hence the demonstration.
They want the Oduman, Nsakina, Manhean, Afuaman and Joma roads, which they say are unmotorable whenever it rains, fixed.
The demonstrators held a banner which read: “No Road, No Vote”.
