Mahama salutes Kudus, bemoans Black Stars' defence slip-ups

John Dramani Mahama observed Ghana verses Egypt with great excitement and concern.
The Black Stars conceded two goals, settling for a 2:2 draw during their second Group B match against the Pharoahs, yesterday, Thursday, January 18, 2024.
West Ham star Kudus Mohammed shook the net twice in brilliance. Three minutes into injury time in the first half, he unleashed a shot on the edge of the box stunning Egypt's goalkeeper. When that was equalised, he restored Ghana's lead with a left-footed shot.
Per the drawn result, the Black Stars has only one point after two games. The team must decisively win their last match against Mozambique to progress to the next stage of the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d'Ivoire.
Despite the disappointing outcome, Kudus Mohammed was duly adjudged the Man of the Match for his sterling performance.
On X, Former President John Mahama praised him as a "boy wonder".
He judged the clash a "great game," bemoaning, however, that Ghana "gave away two free goals" via slips by Inaki Williams and his substitute Osman Bukari.
