 Sam Pee Yalley, former Ghanaian High Commissioner to India and a respected member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has passed away.

Yalley died on Sunday at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra, leaving the political and diplomatic community in mourning.

While the exact cause of his sudden passing is yet to be officially confirmed, news of his death has triggered an outpouring of grief across the country.

Among the first to publicly express condolences was the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, who paid tribute to the late diplomat, describing him as both a “brother and friend.”

In a message shared on social media, Speaker Bagbin highlighted Yalley’s dedication to public service and his pivotal role within the NDC.

“Ambassador Yalley was a champion of professionalism in politics and a key figure in our party’s development,” Bagbin stated.

Sam Pee Yalley was widely known for his leadership of the NDC Professionals Forum, where he worked to bridge the gap between academia, professional bodies, and the political landscape.

His contributions helped shape policy discourse within the party and enhanced the NDC’s engagement with Ghana’s professional class.

Yalley’s death marks the loss of a seasoned public servant, legal practitioner, and committed political figure who dedicated his career to national development and democratic growth.
