The Africa Prosperity Dialogue 2025, the flagship event of the Africa Prosperity Network (APN), entered its second day with a call to action from CEO Sidig Faroug El Toum.

In his opening remarks, El Toum underscored the importance of collective effort in driving Africa’s economic transformation and shaping policies that will define the continent’s future.

“We gather here today not just to discuss but to shape Africa’s future,” he stated.

“The conversations we hold are more than just dialogues—they are a blueprint for the continent’s progress.”

Key Focus Areas

The second day of the dialogue features six key sessions, covering:

Leveraging digital infrastructure, innovation, and technology to enhance regional connectivity. Delivering affordable and accessible energy solutions to drive industrialization. Strengthening social infrastructure in education, healthcare, and creative industries to empower Africa’s people.

El Toum emphasized the need for collaboration and strategic investment, calling on global and regional stakeholders to unlock new opportunities and drive sustainable development.

“Africa’s challenge is not a lack of resources but the absence of collective will to shape our own destiny,” he noted.

The Africa Prosperity Dialogue 2025 brings together government officials, business leaders, and civil society to shape Africa’s economic agenda. As discussions progress, participants are expected to share insights and practical solutions to accelerate the continent’s growth.

Encouraging active engagement, El Toum urged attendees to contribute meaningfully to policies and strategies that will drive Africa’s prosperity.

“Let us make this gathering another milestone in our shared journey towards a prosperous and connected Africa,” he concluded.
