Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) is set to celebrate this year's Val's Day with hospitalised children in Ho Teaching Hospital and Ho Municipal Hospital, respectively.

A press release dated February 12, 2025, signed by Johnny Arthur-Quarm, Volta Regional Director, GTA, indicated this initiative was themed: ‘Eat Chocolate, Stay Healthy, Grow Ghana’.

GTA noted the initiative was “in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, Ghana Cocoa Board, Frandocfill Car Hiring Service, Sky Plus Hotel, Chances Hotel, and Jolinaiko Ecotours.

“Together, these organizations will distribute locally produced Ghanaian chocolate to hospitalized children, spreading love, warmth, and Ghana's rich cocoa heritage on a day dedicated to kindness and affection,” GTA explained.

“Through this initiative, we aim to bring comfort and joy to children at the Ho Teaching Hospital and the Ho Regional Hospital, while also engaging the public at the Ho main lorry station to emphasize the significance of Ghana's cocoa industry,” GTA underlined.

As part of Ghana's National Chocolate Day celebrations, the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) in the Volta Region, in collaboration with key tourism and hospitality stakeholders, will bring smiles to young patients at the pediatric units of the Ho Teaching Hospital and the Ho Regional Hospital on February 14, 2025.
