The 2022 Wildaland festival has been cancelled.
According to a statement released by the organisers, the highly anticipated two-day music, lifestyle and clean climate future-focused event will not come off due to circumstances beyond their control.
Pictures of preparation had long been seen on the organisers' social media timelines.
Wildaland 2022 was to take place on Monday, 26 to Tuesday, 27 December, 2022, at the Shai Resource Reserve.
The maiden edition of Wildaland which took place at the picturesqueShai Hills in December 2021 was featured West African stars of worldwide acclaim such as Sarkodie, Davido, Stonebwoy, Black Sherif and Kidi.
Currently, measures to ensure refunds for tickets purchased are being taken as organisers have started reaching out to ticket holders.
They have also assured a 2023 comeback.
The festival announced its Eco-Action Fan Village, together with a series of activities designed to raise climate change awareness among young people and patrons, earlier this year, consistent with the festival’s commitment to a clean climate future.
