Highlife and Afrobeats star KiDi has assured the world his upcoming third long play (LP) will "be the best album in the history of Ghana music".

He wrote this on X, September 17, 2024.

"It’s going to be the soundtrack of our lives and generations to come," he touted. "You know how I [always] do [it]."

KiDi's first album was released in 2019, Sugar. His follow-up was the groundbreaking extended play (EP), Blue of 2020. In 2021, he released the Golden Boy album with the worldwide viral hit Touch It. 

In a July interview with Factory 78, the 2022 Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the Year revealed he was concluding work on his third album.

"My album is literally almost done. We're 90 per cent in. We're here [in UK/Europe] to lock down a few things. Very soon, in a couple of months, it'll be out so look out for it," the singer-songwriter and record producer said.

"KiDi album coming soon in 2024," he emphasised.

* Sugar won Album of the Year per the 2020 Ghana Music Awards.

* Blue EP was named the EP of the Year at the 2021 3Music Awards and Ghana Music Awards.

* Golden Boy won Album of the Year per the 2022 Ghana Music Awards.

While the world waits for Dennis Nana 'KiDi' Dwamena's 2024 album, he has an instant megahit ruling the charts now, Lomo Lomo, with EMPIRE Africa mate Black Sherif. The Ugly & Tough-produced single was released on July 31.
