Family postpones KODA's funeral to September 2024
The family of Kofi Owusu Dua Anto (KODA) has informed the public the beloved musician's funeral has been rescheduled to Friday, September 20, 2024.
All-white being the dress code, the ceremony will take place at the Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) Dominion Centre, Spintex Road-Accra.
On KODA's active Facebook page, his family wrote: "We wish to inform all well wishers, friends, ministry partners and the general public that the date for the celebration of life for our beloved brother Kofi Dua Anto has been changed from 5th July 2024 to 20th September 2024."
A Contemporary Gospel legend, KODA played multiple instruments, earned multiple awards and hits, sound-engineered several critically-acclaimed albums, and mentored and influenced countless Ghanaian singers.
He famously schooled at Mfantsipim Senior High School, Cape Coast, and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology (KNUST), Kumasi.
It was while at KNUST that the Takoradi-based first came to public notice, featuring in God's Instrument's hit Awurade Eii of the early 2000s.
KODA passed away at 45, in the early hours of Sunday, April 21.
One of his biggest hits was Hosanna.
