You’ll have stable power supply this Christmas – ECG assures Volta, Oti residents

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has assured residents in the Volta and Oti regions of a steady and reliable power supply throughout the Christmas season.
Christina Jatoe Kaleo, Volta Regional General Manager of ECG, gave the assurance during a press engagement, reaffirming the company’s commitment to ensuring a joyous festive period without power outages.
“We are committed to ensuring that residents in the Volta and Oti regions enjoy uninterrupted power supply during this festive season,” she said.
Addressing journalists, Ms Kaleo acknowledged the challenges ECG faced in 2024, including infrastructure maintenance and increasing demand for electricity. She also highlighted notable achievements and outlined plans to tackle these challenges in the coming year.
In addition, she called on residents to desist from engaging in power theft and urged them to report any instances of illegal electricity connections, promising rewards for such reports.
“We appeal to residents to report any cases of power theft. Such actions will be rewarded as we work together to safeguard our power resources,” she emphasised.
