Outcome of 'historic' National Economic Dialogue will find expression in upcoming budget - Ato Forson

The Minister for Finance, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, has assured that the outcomes of the 2025 National Economic Dialogue will be incorporated into the forthcoming National Budget.
He emphasised that the discussions held at the dialogue will play a significant role in shaping policies aimed at revitalising Ghana’s economy and fostering long-term growth.
In a Facebook post on Monday, March 3, Dr Forson expressed his enthusiasm about the commencement of the dialogue, describing it as a historic moment for the nation.
He stated that the government remains committed to engaging stakeholders in finding lasting solutions to the economic challenges facing the country.
“I am excited that the historic National Economic Dialogue 2025 is starting this morning.
Its outcomes will find clear expression in the upcoming National Budget, which will be read on March 11, 2025, as we work together to reset Ghana’s economy and drive sustainable growth,” he wrote.
The National Economic Dialogue is expected to bring together policymakers, economists, business leaders, and civil society organisations to deliberate on key economic strategies.
With the Minister’s assurance, there is growing anticipation that the 2025 budget will reflect concrete measures derived from the dialogue to ensure economic stability and progress
