Alex Mould taking over at MIDA

The Millennium Development Authority (MiDA) has announced the appointment of Alex Mould as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), following the departure of Michael Asare Bediako.

Bediako, who led MiDA through significant institutional reforms, was instrumental in transitioning the authority from a Compact-funded entity to a subvented organization, ensuring its long-term sustainability.

Under his leadership, MiDA launched transformative initiatives, including the Economic Enclaves Project (EEP) and the Digital Youth Hub, positioning the agency at the forefront of agriculture-led industrialization and digital transformation in Ghana.

His tenure also strengthened MiDA’s partnership with the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), laying the groundwork for future Compact agreements aimed at poverty reduction and economic growth.

As he stepped down, Bediako expressed gratitude for the support he received and assured a smooth transition, having engaged Alex Mould in discussions on the authority’s strategic direction.

Mould, a seasoned executive in Ghana’s energy and financial sectors, previously served as CEO of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) and the National Petroleum Authority (NPA).

His appointment by President John Mahama signals a commitment to sustaining MiDA’s progress and advancing its economic transformation agenda.

With Alex Mould at the helm, MiDA is expected to continue driving sustainable development and economic growth to benefit all Ghanaians.
