2024 polls: We're on victory path but not won yet – Asiedu Nketia warns NDC against complacency
Though some polls are projecting victory for the main opposition National Democratic Congress in the December general elections, the party's Chairman, Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has warned the members against complacency.
At the unveiling of Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang as the running mate of former President John Mahama at the University of Professional Studies, Accra, Mr Nketia said: "We are happy that the polls are projecting a massive victory for us" but cautioned that "poll results alone don’t constitute a victory for any political party".
"I want us to guard against the risk of complacency", he urged.
Mr Nketia told the crowd: “Let us not create a picture that we have already won".
"I would like to caution everybody that we have not won yet", he stressed, indicating: "We are on the way to victory, but let’s guard against complacency".
