Minister urges Presby Church to invest in youth businesses at 37th Presbytery Session
Mr Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, the Western Regional Minister, has delivered a stirring address at the 37th Presbytery Session of the Western Presbytery, held at the Ebenezer Congregation in Sekondi.
The theme of the occasion was 'Jesus Christ, the Alpha and Omega,' highlighting God's eternal supremacy and love.
In his impassioned speech, Mr Darko-Mensah underscored the importance of investing in youth businesses within the Presbyterian Church.
He emphasised that as stewards of God's creation, it was imperative for those with resources to prioritise supporting and empowering the youth, who represent the future of the church and society at large.
He asserted that such investments are crucial to eradicating poverty and fostering wealth creation among the younger generation.
Furthermore, Mr Darko-Mensah, who doubles as Memeber of Parliament for Takoradi, stressed the significance of events like the Presbytery Session in assessing collective progress, redefining societal goals to meet current challenges, and devising strategies for the advancement of both the church and the broader community.
With Ghana in an election year, he urged the church to champion unity, respect, and circumspection, highlighting its pivotal role in fostering a cohesive society.
The address by Mr Sarko-Mensah resonated deeply with attendees, who acknowledged the importance of the church's involvement in socioeconomic development and nation-building initiatives.
His call for investment in youth businesses and promotion of unity within the church received widespread support, reaffirming the Presbyterian Church's commitment to holistic progress and community welfare.
The 37th Presbytery Session concluded with a renewed sense of purpose and commitment among participants, inspired by Mr Darko-Mensah's vision for a prosperous and harmonious society anchored in Christian principles.
