United Kingdom: Kudus shown red card, charged by FA with improper conduct
West Ham United striker Mohammed Kudus has been charged with an offense by the Football Association (FA).
This follows the West Ham v Tottenham Saturday match during which the Ghanaian international was shown a red card for pushing Pape Matar Sarr and Micky van de Ven in the face – it was while the game which ended in a 4:1 loss for West Ham was coming to a close at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Kudus was responsible for West Ham's goal.
Per the red card, Kudus faces a minimum three-game ban, meaning he will miss The Hammer's clash with against Manchester United, Nottingham Forest, and Everton.
The FA has, also, confirmed he has been charged with “allegedly acting in an improper manner and/or used violent conduct after the offence he was sent off for”.
Also, Tottenham Hot Spurs and West Ham United have both been charged for “failing to ensure that their players didn’t behave in an improper and/or provocative way”.
Kudus pushed his hands into the faces of Micky and Pape, respectively. He, also, bumped into Richardlison who went down holding his face. Referee Andrew Madley sent him off the pitch after looking at the VAR.
The two clubs and Kudus have to respond to the FA charges latest by Thursday.
