These 5 countries have qualified for the 2026 World Cup so far

Five countries have already qualified for the 2026 World Cup to be hosted in US, Mexico, and Canada.
The teams, including the hosts, are:
· United States of America (USA)
· Canada
· Mexico
· Japan
· New Zealand
The FIFA 2026 World Cup will feature a record 48 teams. The games will run from June 11 to July 19. New Zealand qualified on Monday, March 24, 2025, the victory coming five days after Japan qualified.
Out of 48 teams, 43 qualify through continents, while two via playoffs.
New Zealand secured their place in the tournament beating New Caledonia 3-0 win in the final of the Oceania Qualifiers at Eden Park in Auckland.
New Caledonia’s hope to participate for the first time in the games will be decided during the FIFA Play-off Tournament.
Iran can secure a spot by beating Uzbekistan today, Tuesday, March 25.
