Parliament begins registration for 2025 Legislature today

Parliament has announced the commencement of the registration process for Members of Parliament-elect ahead of the inauguration of the 9th Parliament of the 4th Republic.
In a statement issued on December 24, the registration exercise will be conducted in two phases: an online registration phase starting Wednesday, December 25, 2024, followed by an in-person phase from January 2 to January 6, 2025.
“Targeted messages inviting members will be sent via WhatsApp or email.
Physical registration will begin on Thursday, January 2, 2025, and end on January 6, 2025,” the statement detailed.
Members requiring further assistance or clarification have been advised to contact the officers in charge of the registration exercise at the provided numbers: 055 022 2200 or 050 363 4466.
The registration process is a critical step in preparing for the swearing-in ceremony of the new Parliament and ensuring a smooth transition to its operations in the upcoming term.
