Osu Kinkawe Dzaase objects to Ishmeal Nortey Adumuah’s appointment to Korle Klottey Council

The Osu Kinkawe Dzaase in the Greater Accra Region has raised strong objections to the alleged appointment of Ishmeal Nortey Adumuah, also known as Oshiahene, to serve on a council at the Korle Klottey Municipal Assembly, citing concerns over his credibility and past actions.
In a statement signed by Nii Saban Atsen VII, Osu Kinkawe Dzaasetse, the council expressed grave reservations about Adumuah’s suitability to represent the interests of the Osu Traditional Area
According to the statement, Ishmeal Nortey Adumuah was previously installed by the accredited Osu Kinkawe Dzaase but was later suspended due to acts of subversion against both the Osu Kinkawe Dzaase and the Osu Stool.
The council outlined several reasons why they believe Adumuah’s appointment would be detrimental:
He is alleged to be divisive, having caused problems across all four quarters of the Osu Traditional Area.
He is involved in multiple chieftaincy disputes, with cases pending before the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs and the High Court in Accra.
He is accused of being a demagogue, whose actions have created confusion within the Osu Traditional Area.
The Osu Kinkawe Dzaase strongly argues that appointing Adumuah could worsen tensions in the Osu Traditional Area, making him an unsuitable candidate for the council.
Alternative Candidates ProposedIn place of Adumuah, the Osu Kinkawe Dzaase has recommended two alternative candidates:
Nii Kwabena Bonne V, Osu Alata Mantse Nii Nortey Otututse II, Osu Ashante DzaasetseBoth individuals, according to the council, are recognized chiefs of the Osu Traditional Area and have been duly gazetted, making them more suitable to represent the community.
The council has attached relevant documents to support its claims and has urged the appointing authority to give due consideration to their concerns.
