Oppong Nkrumah to political parties: Focus on nat'l devt, avoid politicising issues
Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the Minister for Works & Housing and MP for Ofoase-Ayirebi, has called on political parties to refrain from politicising every issue for electoral gain.
Nkrumah emphasised the need for parties to prioritise constructive solutions and national development over political strategies aimed at gaining favour with voters.
He spoke to Kwame Dwomoh-Agyemang on the Class Morning Show.
The former Information Minister cautioned the tendency to politicise issues of national concern can detract from genuine efforts to tackle the country’s challenges and improve the well-being of Ghanaians. He argued focusing on real solutions rather than partisan advantage is crucial for meaningful progress.
"Political parties should shift their focus from using issues as political tools to actually addressing them constructively," Oppong Nkrumah said.
He asserted such a shift was essential for fostering an environment where national challenges are met with effective solutions, rather than being turned into opportunities for political maneuvering.
