Opare-Addo: Minister-designate for Youth Dev't & Emp envisions 'merit-based society'
"My vision sits with that of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama," Minister-designate for Youth Development & Empowerment George Opare-Addo has said.
He was answering a question before the Parliamentary Appointments Committe, Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
When he was asked to expatiate on his vision, he responded, "...it's to build a merit-based society, where opportunities avail themselves to every young person; where we empower them for them to take up the challenges of national development that await [confront] all of us."
The lawyer, affectionately called Pablo, is the National Youth Organiser for the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC).
When he was asked when he would resign from the above-mentioned position, he said it would be when the time was right.
