NDC Dep Youth Organiser optimistic about winning massive votes in Ashanti Region

The Deputy National Youth Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ruth Dela Seddoh, has expressed confidence in the party's ability to secure significant votes in the Ashanti region, following a highly enthusiastic reception from residents.
The NDC's Youth Wing, in collaboration with the Traders and Artisans Network and the Graduate Brigade, launched a retail campaign today in Kumasi's Central Business District to share key campaign messages with local traders.
The campaign route began at the Manhyia Palace traffic light, passing through notable areas including Dr. Mensah, Aboabo Station, Roman Hill, and Kejetia Market.
The team distributed party-branded flyers and engaged traders with key messages about the party’s policies.
The traders warmly welcomed the NDC team, dancing to campaign songs and making "we are changing" gestures, a sign of discontent with the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in what has traditionally been one of its strongholds.
Ruth Dela Seddoh attributed the positive reception to growing frustration over what she described as poor governance and economic hardship under the NPP.
She expressed optimism that the Ashanti region, once considered the NPP's stronghold, is now more open to the NDC's message.
“The region is no longer the NPP’s strongest hold,” Ms Seddoh said, expressing confidence that the NDC's social intervention policies will help secure substantial votes both in the region and nationwide in the upcoming December polls.
Nicodemus Dery, National Coordinator for the Traders and Artisans Network of the NDC, echoed her sentiments, noting his excitement over the traders' warm reception.
Dr. Joseph Yensu, Director of the Graduate Brigade of the NDC, also voiced his support for the campaign’s impact in the region.
