Mussa Dankwa is a kindergarten researcher, ignore his polls – Ofosu Nkansah to Ghanaians
The Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship & Innovation Programme (NEIP), Mr Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, has called on Ghanaians to disregard the recent polls conducted by Global InfoAnalytics led by Mussa Dankwa.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, October 23, Mr Ofosu Nkansah dismissed the credibility of the poll,s which shows former President John Dramani Mahama leading the 2024 presidential race.
The polls done by Mussa Dankwa, suggested that John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has a commanding lead over Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The data indicated Mr Mahama secured 51.1% of committed voters, while Bawumia trailed with 37.3%. Independent candidates Alan Kyeremanten and Nana Kwame Bediako were also featured in the polls, with support of 4.1% and 6.2%, respectively.
However, Mr Ofosu Nkansah criticised the methodology of the polls, arguing that Mussa Dankwa fails to account for the broader voter population and the geographical spread of the sample.
He suggested that such omissions make Mr Dankwa’s polls unreliable and often far from the actual election results.
According to Mr Nkansah, Ghanaians should not take these polls seriously as they do not reflect the true electoral dynamics.
In his Facebook post, Mr Ofosu Nkansah further emphasized that past elections have demonstrated the inaccuracy of Mr Dankwa’s predictions.
He urged Ghanaians to remain focused on the upcoming elections and not be swayed by questionable polling data.
"Mussa Dankwa's polling formula is to call say 100 People on the phone and just record the number of votes each candidate gets.
He doesn't factor in voter population or where the sample was picked from.
That's why his polls are never close to actual results."
"He is a Kindergarten researcher. All Patriots should ignore his Polls.
We are currently leading in both Presidential and Parliamentary polls," he posted.
