M4C unveils Alan Kyerematen running mate E-KOD tomorrow
The Movement for Change (M4C) is set for the official unveiling of its vice presidential candidate for the December 7 election.
The event will take place tomorrow, Friday, September 20, 2024, at 10 AM.
The Movement for Change, with a butterfly as its symbol, is founded and led by Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, 68. In April, after he resigned from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and his office as Minister of Trade & Industry, Mr Kyerematen's independent presidential candidacy on the ticket of the M4C was announced.
He later launched the Alliance for Revolutionary Change (ARC) to mobilise support from Ghanaians across the country, particularly the youth and women, irrespective of their religious, political and ethnic affiliations.
The Alliance, according to Mr Kyerematen, is aimed at forming an all-inclusive government of national unity when voted into power, as well as mobilise consensus towards a national development plan, which will go beyond party manifestos and introduce a new blueprint for Ghana’s economic transformation.
The Alliance will also advocate fundamental constitutional reforms, including but not limited to reforms in governance, public sector accountability, management of natural resources as well as mindset and attitudinal change in Ghana.
Mr Kyerematen's running mate former musician and lawyer Elijah Kwame Owusu Danso, alias E-KOD, 40, appreciated “the distinguished honour of being the vice presidential candidate on the ticket of the Movement for Change and Alliance for Revolutionary Change” in a letter dated Monday, September 16, and signed by himself.
E-KOD's nomination was announced on September 11.
