The Koforidua High Court has officially served a Substituted Order compelling Frank Annoh Dompreh, the Electoral Commission (EC), and the Clerk of Parliament to appear before the court in an ongoing election petition case.

The petition challenges the legitimacy of Annoh Dompreh’s declaration as the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Nsawam Adoagyiri Constituency following the 2024 parliamentary elections.

The court bailiff served the order on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at multiple locations, including the High Court, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) office, the Electoral Commission, the police station, the main lorry station, Fawe FM, and selected information centres within the Constituency.

The petition, filed by Mr. Selorm of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), alleges that the declaration of Annoh Dompreh as the winner was improper and calls for a judicial review of the election results.

The case is scheduled for March 14, 2025, when the respondents are expected to appear before the Koforidua High Court for the hearing.

In a statement signed by Noah Agbeko Dumenya, the NDC Constituency Secretary, the party called for unity and support as they seek what they describe as justice for Mr

. Selorm, the NDC, and the people of Nsawam Adoagyiri.

The outcome of the case is expected to have significant political implications for the Nsawam Adoagyiri Constituency and beyond.
