I don't rely on report of pollsters for elections mgt – Omane Boamah
Dr Edward Omane Boamah, the Director of Elections and Information Communications Technology (ICT) for the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has expressed his dissatisfaction with the work of pollsters.
He made it clear that he does not rely on poll results churned out by some of these pollsters and prefers to focus on the party's internal research.
Dr Omane Boamah emphasised that he finds poll results to be less reliable compared to the internal research conducted by the NDC.
He pointed out that the party has developed a robust ICT database to work toward achieving its goal of victory in the 2024 general elections.
According to the NDC's internal research, they have real-time reports suggesting that the party is winning the topmost position for the upcoming elections.
Confident in the NDC's prospects, he stated that the enthusiasm within the party clearly indicates the party's belief in emerging victorious in the 2024 elections.
Shifting his focus to recent developments within the judiciary, Dr Omane Boamah criticised the Ghana Bar Association for what he sees as a debasing of the association.
He accused the association of bolstering the speechwriters of the sitting president, who crafted the speech delivered at the Bar Conference held in the Central Region to hurl insults at former President John Dramani Mahama.
“I have written speeches for a president before, I know what it takes to write speeches for a president,” he said, highlighting his experience in this regard.
Dr Omane Boamah's remarks on the work of pollsters and his critique of the Ghana Bar Association were made during an interview on Accra-based Asempa FM on Thursday, September 14, 2023
