Edem Agbana declares intent to contest Ketu North seat
It has emerged that the reason the Deputy Youth Organiser of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Edem Agbana, did not seek re-election in the last national executives elections last year was to step into the shoes of the outgoing Member of Parliament for Ketu North Constituency in the Volta Region, Mr James Kluste Avedzi.
The National Chairman of the NDC has revealed that the Deputy Minority Leader, Mr James Klutse Avedzi, has informed the national leadership that he will not be seeking re-election in the yet-to-be-organised primaries of the party in May this year.
According to Mr Asiedu Nketia, once Mr Avedzi will not be seeking re-election, it is only appropriate for him to be replaced.
Master Edem Agbana in a Facebook post has announced his intentions to step into the shoes of the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) as MP for the people of Ketu North.
In the said post, he shared a campaign flyer with the inscription: ‘The people-centred, visionary, and result-oriented and his team come your way with another free medical outreach programme'.
The post announced the organisation of free medical care for the people of Ketu North.
The post said packages include;
1. FREE NHIS CARD REGISTRATION & RENEWALS.
2. FREE CONSULTATION
3. FREE DIAGNOSIS
4. FREE TREATMENT/ REFERRALS.
And many more.
