EC to use 40,975 polling stations, 328 special voting centres for Dec. 7 polls
The Electoral Commission (EC) has revealed that it will establish 40,975 polling stations across the country for the upcoming December 7, 2024, general elections.
This marks a significant increase of over 4,000 polling stations compared to the 2020 elections.
In a statement issued on Thursday, 10 October 2024, and signed by Deputy Chairman Samuel Tettey, the EC outlined the breakdown of polling stations, including special voting centres.
"The Electoral Commission hereby publishes the list of all Polling Stations and Special Voting Centres for the 2024 General Election. The total number of Polling Stations is 40,975," the statement confirmed.
The EC added: "The breakdown is as follows: Main Polling Stations – 40,647, Special Voting Centers – 328."
