Dec polls: NDC sacks 18 parliamentary candidates for going independent
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has sacked 18 people from the party for contesting as independent parliamentary candidates in the December polls.
The 18 persons have been directed to hand over all party property in their possession to their respective constituency secretariats.
The NDC said the independent candidates must cease using party paraphernalia and the name of the party's flagbearer, Mr John Dramani Mahama, in all their campaigns.
The NDC, in a statement signed by its General Secretary Johnson Aseidu Nketiah, noted that all party members who endorsed the nomination forms of the 18 people as well as campaign for them and openly associate with their campaign activities will equally suffer the same punishment.
