Dec. 7 Polls: I'm committed to helping Bawumia break the 8 – Napo
Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the newly endorsed running mate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has declared his unwavering commitment to supporting the party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, in the 2024 general elections.
On Thursday,4 July 20244, the National Council of the NPP officially endorsed Dr. Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as NAPO, as Dr. Bawumia's running mate.
In his acceptance statement, NAPO pledged to help effectively communicate Dr. Bawumia’s transformative campaign message aimed at breaking the 8-year political cycle and securing a decisive victory for the NPP.
Acknowledging the significant responsibility that accompanies his nomination, NAPO vowed to work closely with Dr. Bawumia, leveraging their combined strengths to ensure a resounding victory for the NPP and successful retention of the presidency.
"As I assume the role of running mate alongside my esteemed boss, H.E. Dr. Bawumia, I am committed to supporting him to prosecute a formidable 2024 campaign to break the 8-year election cycle and serve our beloved country diligently. Let us work together towards a brighter future for Ghana,” he promised.
The Energy Minister expressed gratitude to President Akufo-Addo, the National Council, party executives, and members for their support and confidence in him.
