Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Candidate, has urged voters in Afram Plains North in the Eastern Region to reconsider their longstanding support for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), warning that continued backing for the NDC will impede the area's development.

Speaking to chiefs, community members, Zongo chiefs, and party faithful during a campaign tour, Dr. Prempeh criticized the NDC’s commitment to the region, arguing that the opposition party has repeatedly failed to deliver on its promises.

 He noted that despite years of overwhelming support for the NDC, Afram Plains North has been neglected when it comes to critical development projects.

Dr. Prempeh, widely known as Napo, emphasized that the NPP is the only party with a genuine interest in the well-being of all Ghanaians, describing the NPP as inclusive and non-discriminatory.

 He highlighted the stark contrast between the two parties, stating that while the NDC has taken the region’s support for granted, the NPP has consistently worked to improve the lives of people in all parts of the country.

As part of his visit, Dr. Prempeh inaugurated the District Road Improvement Project (DRIP) machines in Afram Plains North, symbolizing the NPP’s focus on infrastructure development.

 He urged the community to vote for the NPP’s Presidential Candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, in the upcoming December 7 elections, stressing that a vote for the NPP would ensure the continuation of vital development projects.

Napo assured the people that electing Dr. Bawumia would mean choosing a leader with a vision for transformative policies that will drive the country’s growth and prosperity.

He reiterated that the introduction of the DRIP machines is a clear example of the NPP’s dedication to enhancing infrastructure and economic progress.

Eastern Regional NPP Chairman, Jeffery Ohene Konadu, also addressed the gathering, called on residents to break from their past voting patterns and give the NPP a chance to lead.

 He expressed regret over his unsuccessful parliamentary bid in 2012 but vowed to continue supporting development efforts in the region, working closely with the NPP Parliamentary Candidate to bring meaningful change.
