The Convention People's Party (CPP) has firmly denied any discussions or partnerships with Mr Alan Kyerematen, the embattled presidential aspirant from the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The CPP's National Chairperson Nana, Frimpomaa Akosua Sarpong, made this denial during an interview on Accra-based Joy FM's mid-day news on September 21, 2023.

She further refuted any claims that their 2020 flagbearer, Mr Ivor Greenstreet, had engaged in talks with Mr Kyerematen.

She categorically stated that there had been no such discussions or negotiations with the NPP's presidential aspirant. Furthermore, she mentioned that Mr Greenstreet had confirmed to her that there were no ongoing talks with the aggrieved NPP presidential candidate hopeful.

However, the CPP's National Chairperson did express the party's willingness to warmly welcome Mr Kyerematen if he chose to join the CPP for the 2024 general elections.

She described him as a fine gentleman, adding that the CPP would be open to incorporating him into the Nkrumahist party's ranks.

She also extended a similar invitation to Mr Kennedy Agyepong, should he feel aggrieved by the processes leading to the NPP's presidential primary and decide to join the CPP in pursuit of Dr Kwame Nkrumah's development agenda for the country.

She emphasized that the CPP was the only party holding the agenda for the country's development.
