Asenso Boakye: Akufo-Addo is exceptional in NPP's history

The Minister of Works and Housing and Member of Parliament for Bantama Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Mr Francis Asenso Boakye, has commended President Akufo-Addo, describing him as the most exceptional president produced by the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Specifically highlighting Akufo-Addo's leadership during the challenging COVID-19 pandemic, Mr Asenso Boakye asserted that the situation could have been worse under a different president.
Expressing his belief that Ghanaians will both celebrate and feel the absence of Akufo-Addo in the years to come, Mr Asenso Boakye emphasized the distinctive governance provided by the current president.
During an interview on Starr FM on February 1, 2024, Mr Asenso Boakye was asked about the comparison between former President Kufour and Akufo-Addo in terms of their presidencies.
In response, he confidently declared Akufo-Addo as the superior president.
Elaborating on his stance, Mr Asenso Boakye pointed out that while former President Kufour had played his part and left office, Mr Akufo-Addo's current circumstances and the decisions made under his leadership set him apart as the optimal choice.
"Kufour has played his part and he has left, and Akufo-Addo is actually on it.
The decisions and the circumstances under his leadership are totally different from those of President Kufour.
I'll choose Akufo-Addo because he has worked directly, and I know him and I've benefitted from his leadership, his wise counsel, and everything, even though President Kufour is also more like a father to me."
