A/R: Sammy Gyamfi confident of NDC victory, urges voters to reject NPP's broken promises
Mr Sammy Gyamfi, the National Communications Officer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has voiced strong confidence that the party will emerge victorious in the upcoming general elections.
Speaking at the campaign launch in Bantama, following a well-attended walk, Mr Gyamfi asserted that John Mahama would be inaugurated as President, citing the impressive turnout as a sign of widespread support especially in the Ashanti Region.
Mr Gyamfi dismissed remarks made by Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), who claimed that voting for the NDC would be a curse for the Asante people.
He emphasized that voting should lead to tangible development, criticizing the NPP for failing to deliver on its promises to the Ashanti region despite its historical support.
He further condemned the NPP for its unfulfilled pledges from the 2016 elections, urging voters to remove them from power in the upcoming polls.
Additionally, Alhaji Muntaka Mubarak, the Member of Parliament for Asawase, called on party members to intensify their campaign efforts to secure victory in the December elections.
Mr Kwadwo Addai Dapaah, the NDC's Parliamentary Candidate for Bantama, echoed this sentiment, reinforcing the importance of a strong campaign.
