The 40-foot-shipping-container of medical equipment and supplies include anaestisia machines, ECG/EKG, ultrasound, endoscopy tower, x-ray machine, infant incubators, infant warmers, autoclaves, defibrillators and lab freezer.
Others include CPAP, labour/delivery beds, OR light, suction machines, patient monitor, oxygen system, pulse oximeters, surgery tables, refrigerator for storing vaccines, wheelchairs, sphygmomanometer and many more.
Mr Ablakwa expressed gratitude to his partners, SOS International headquartered in the USA for the collaboration.
The lawmaker expressed delight that the new medical facility is in close proximity to the resettlement camp constructed for the displaced victims of the Akosombo Dam spillage.
His vision, he noted, is to ensure the expansion and upgrading of the Mepe Health Centre into a modern hospital by next year.
