Volta Regional Minister Seeks media support for regional transformation

The newly appointed Volta Regional Minister, James Gunu, has called on journalists in the region to support his vision for transforming the Volta Region.
Speaking at a media engagement on Sunday, ahead of his official assumption of office today, Gunu shared his commitment and development plans for the region, urging the media to play a key role in driving progress.
He expressed concern over the ongoing water crisis in the regional capital, assuring that he would work closely with stakeholders to find a lasting solution.
The Minister also raised issues about the state of the Volta Regional Minister’s residence, which he said had deteriorated under the previous administration.
He pledged to address the situation and ensure that regional facilities are well maintained.
Gunu emphasised the importance of collaboration between the government and the media, stating that journalists have a crucial role in shaping public discourse and holding authorities accountable for regional development.
