UE/R: Military officer dead, five critically injured in road accident near Binduri
A tragic accident involving military personnel from the 11 Mechanised Battalion in Bawku in the Upper East Region has left one officer dead and five others critically injured.
The incident occurred near Binduri in the Upper East Region.
Eyewitnesses report that the military vehicle, with registration number 15 GA 04, was travelling from Bawku towards Bazua when it suddenly veered off the road and somersaulted multiple times.
The crash resulted in the immediate death of one officer, while five others sustained serious injuries.
The injured officers were quickly transported to the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital and the Tamale Teaching Hospital for emergency medical care.
