Police assure adequate security for Catholic Church's ‘Environmental Prayer Walk’

The Ghana Police Service (GPS) has informed the public of “sufficient security measures” provided for Catholic Archdiocese of Accra for their “planned Environmental Prayer Walk”.
The police underlined “the Holy Spirit Cathedral, Adabraka,” as the converging point for the walk which seeks to protest environmental degradation through activities like deforestation and illegal mining.
The police’s October 10, 2024, statement warned of “temporary traffic holdups” in areas that will be travelled by the protesters tomorrow Friday, October 11.
