Nat'l Cadet Corps Ghana to mark 63rd Republic Day with parade
The National Cadet Corps Ghana, in collaboration with various government ministries and agencies, is set to celebrate the 63rd Republic Day with a grand parade.
The event, scheduled for Saturday, July 1, 2023, will take place at the iconic Black Stars Square, a symbol of national unity and pride.
On the theme "Esprit De-Corps, Our Strength and Purpose," this year's celebration aims to emphasise the importance of patriotism, precision, discipline, volunteerism, unity, teamwork, and a shared sense of purpose in fostering national development, particularly among Ghana's youth.
The commemoration acknowledges the invaluable contributions of the cadets and their significant impact on the nation's pride throughout the years.
Ms Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, the Chief of Staff at the Office of the President, will serve as the Guest of Honour and Reviewing Officer for the event.
Her presence underscores the government's commitment to youth development and recognizes the National Cadet Corps as a crucial institution in shaping the leaders of tomorrow.
Cadets from educational institutions across all 16 regions of Ghana will participate, showcasing their training and skills through captivating drills and demonstrations that reflect the core values of the National Cadet Corps Ghana.
Attendees have been advised to adhere to a formal dress code, with a touch of the national flag's colours (red, gold, and green) to symbolize their national pride and cultural heritage.
The National Cadet Corps Ghana, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ghana Education Service, the Ghana Armed Forces, other Security Services, and the National Youth Authority, has encouraged all citizens to join in this occasion and celebrate Ghana's progress as a united nation.
The parade serves as a reminder of the importance of instilling values and cultivating leadership qualities among the youth to ensure a prosperous future for the country.
