Egyiresia premix fire disaster kills 2 of 16 victims

Two of 16 fire victims at Egyiresia near Sekondi in the Western Region, have died.
The other 14 are still fighting for their lives after sustaining scathing injuries.
The Saturday, May-18 fire disaster occurred around 4 pm when leaking premix fuel ignited in a fish smoking facility.
The deceased victims were identified by local authorities as 15-year-old Joseph Adom and seven-year-old Justice Dadzie.
They and eleven other victims had been receiving treatment at Effia-Nkwanta Hospital in Sekondi before passing on.
Two others were transferred to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital for further treatment.
The 16 victims comprised of eleven males and five females.
