CTV's Ahmed Kamal wins African SDGs Achievers Award
CTV reporter Ahmed Kamal has won the Leader for ‘Clean water and Sanitation’ award at the 2021/2022 African Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Achievers Summit and Awards.
The awards ceremony was held at the UN Economic Commission for Africa in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
It recognises individuals and organisations whose efforts are promoting youth-inclusive governance and participation in Africa in the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.

A citation in honour of the reporter read: “In recognition of your outstanding services and achievements that exemplify and support the Sustainable Development Goals in your country throughout the year, Congratulations.”
“There were more than 300 nominations of exceptional quality and creativity received across Africa. Our noble and professional judges, after receiving your nominations, recommended you/your organisation for recognition,” a letter from the Conveners of the SDGs Achievers Awards stated.
The CTV reporter has told compelling human interest stories while reporting from the Eastern Region by drawing attention to the needs of society and got results from his stories, as most of the communities have received help after his stories.
