A/R: Man, 35 completes suicide at Ahafo Ano

A 35-year-old man, Ofori Silas, is reported to have taken his own life at Mpasaso No.2 in the Ahafo Ano South-West District of the Ashanti Region. The chainsaw operator, also known as Koo Ofori, allegedly hanged himself using a rope tied to a ceiling fan in his room on Tuesday, February 25, 2025.
Assembly Member Charle K. Asare told Kumasi FM’s Elisha Adarkwah that the deceased had made several prior threats of suicide.
Silas’s body has been transported to a morgue in Mankranso, and police in Mpasaso have initiated an investigation into the incident.
