A/R: 2 children drown in water tank while playing

Two children have drowned in a concrete water tank at Ejisu Domeabra in the Ejisu Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
The incident occurred on Thursday, 4 November 2021, when the children from different parents were playing around the tank.
The victims are two-year-old Blessing, a girl; and a four-year-old boy called Lukeman.
The Assemblymember for the area, Engineer Emmanuel Ankamah, told Class News’ Elisha Adarkwah that the children were playing around the concrete water tank when the girl fell into it.
He said the boy also fell into the tank filled with water in his attempt to rescue the girl.
The bodies have been conveyed by the police to the morgue at Emena.
The police at Domeabra has commenced investigation into the incident.
