UE/R: New school structure revitalizes Soliga JHS in Nabdam district

After over a decade of neglect, students at Soliga Junior High School(JHS) in the Nabdam District of the Upper East Region now have a renewed learning environment.
For years, the children endured classes in a crumbling mud-structure classroom—a building constructed by the community in 2016 after they were forced to study under a Baobab tree.
Despite repeated appeals from parents and teachers to the local Assembly and government, the deteriorating facility remained unchanged, negatively impacting both academic performance and the emotional well-being of the students.
However, the situation took a positive turn when Member of Parliament Dr. Mark-Kurt Nawaane intervened, providing the school with a new classroom structure.
