Police identify Salifu Amoako as 'suspect driver' in East Legon weekend accident that incinerated 2

The Ghana Police Service has commenced investigation into an accident that occurred on Saturday, 12 October 2024, at East Legon in Accra, leading to the death of two persons.
This was announced in an October 14 statement released by the GPS.
“Preliminary police investigation indicates that the suspect driver, identified as Salifu Amoako, rammed his vehicle into another vehicle on Dzanie Ashie Street at East Legon,” the statement said.
“Both vehicles caught fire and burnt beyond recognition.”
Police revealed, also: “The suspect driver and other surviving victims are currently receiving medical attention.”
“Meanwhile, one of the surviving victims has since been discharged, while the bodies of the deceased victims have been deposited at the morgue for preservation and autopsy.”
