Mamobi NDC-NPP clash: Police arrest man seen wielding gun in viral video

The Ghana Police Service (GPS) has arrested suspect Fatawu Ibrahim, alais Fatau Motorway.
Fatawu was declared wanted by police in connection with the disturbances that occurred between supporters of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Mamobi in Accra on October 13, 2024.
Suspect Fatawu Ibrahim was captured in a video footage holding a gun during the disturbances, in which two people were allegedly shot and injured.
“He is currently in police custody and will be put before the court in due course,” a statement by police said on Thursday, October 24.
