Mahama attends Konan Bédié's funeral

Former Ghanaian President John Mahama has attended the memorial mass for the late Ivorian President Henri Konan Bédié, joining other dignitaries to honour the influential leader.
In a Facebook post on Saturday, 25 May 2024, Mr Mahama expressed his privilege in paying his last respects.
"I had the honour of attending a memorial mass for the late Ivorian President Henri Konan Bédié. It was a privilege to pay my last respects, in the company of President Alassane Ouattara, to a leader who played a significant role in the history of Côte d'Ivoire."
He extended his condolences to the late president's family and loved ones.
"My thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time. Rest in peace, President Bédié," he wrote.
