Engr. Dzabaku Kudiabor Ocansey, Executive Director of the Centre for National Interest and Research and Convener of the Centenary Agenda Initiatives, has delivered an inspiring New Year message, urging Ghanaians to prioritize unity, inclusivity, and national development in 2025.

In his statement, Engr. Ocansey extended warm wishes to Ghanaians as they welcomed the new year, expressing optimism for Ghana's future and reaffirming his commitment to the nation’s progress.

He highlighted the need for collaboration across political divides to achieve national development goals, calling for a collective effort to build a prosperous, inclusive, and resilient Ghana.

Engr. Ocansey emphasized the importance of professionalism and loyalty to the state over political allegiances.

“Ghana needs professionals from all fields who will stand their ground for fairness and the progress of the national interest. We cannot succeed as a country if heads of institutions remain more loyal to political parties and governments than to the state,” he remarked.

He outlined a vision for a Ghana where opportunities are available to all citizens, regardless of their political or tribal affiliations, emphasizing the importance of an inclusive economy:

“We must endeavour to build a welfare state economic society full of opportunities for everyone to succeed.

A new Ghana where success is not limited to political office holders but shared collaboratively among all citizens.”

Engr. Ocansey also challenged Ghanaians to move beyond divisive partisan politics and unprecedented corruption, advocating for a united front to achieve first-world status by Ghana’s centenary in 2057.

He reiterated his commitment to the Centenary Agenda Initiatives and the New Ghana Project, which aim to transform Ghana into a developed nation by 2057 through inclusive growth, accountability, and good governance.

Engr. Ocansey congratulated President-elect John Dramani Mahama on his re-election victory in the 2024 presidential elections and urged opposition parties to collaborate for Ghana’s progress.

“Let us put aside our differences and work together towards a common goal – a prosperous, inclusive, and resilient Ghana,” he appealed.

In a special message to the youth, middle-class citizens, and young adults, Engr. Ocansey acknowledged their vital role in shaping Ghana’s future:

“You are the backbone of our nation. Your energy, creativity, and innovation are crucial to driving our country’s progress.”

Engr. Ocansey concluded by encouraging Ghanaians to support the work of the Center for National Interest and Research and to actively contribute to Ghana’s transformation journey.
