In a significant effort to enhance community safety and infrastructure, the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) at Madina Constituency in the Greater Accra Region installed over 250 street lights across Ayimensah, Otinibi, and Amrahia stretch on Saturday, July 13, 2024.
This initiative, spearheaded by the former Madina Chairman and current Second Vice-Chair of the Greater Accra region, Eric Nartey Yeboah also known as Chairman Dollar as part of the party's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to these communities.
Mr. Eric Nartey Yeboah highlighted that the installation of street lights fulfils a promise made by the NPP to improve infrastructure and ensure the safety of residents in the Madina Constituency.
This effort follows the recent commissioning of two state-of-the-art 23-seater ultra-modern toilet facilities aimed at enhancing sanitation within the same communities.
Speaking on behalf of the NPP, Mr. Chairman Dollar reiterated the party's commitment to fulfilling its electoral pledges and enhancing community welfare through strategic infrastructure projects.
He said the installation of street lights is expected to not only improve visibility and safety at night but also contribute to the overall development and well-being of residents.
He added that the initiative reflects a proactive approach by the NPP to address community needs and uphold its responsibilities towards sustainable development in Madina Constituency.
Meanwhile, residents have expressed appreciation for these efforts, emphasizing the positive impact on their daily lives and the local environment.
