Asantes are now their own enemies – Otumfuo

Asantes are now becoming the enemies of their own Asanteman, Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has observed.
He told a gathering in his kingdom recently that the kingdom was coming under threat from enemies within.
He, thus, urged Asantes to be wary of such characters, warning that Asantes already have a legion of enemies outside the kingdom, who desire the annihilation of Asanteman due to its rich history and heritage.
According to him, Asantes are already hated in Ghana and there are many people who would love to see Asantes driven out of the country.
He said even the whiteman, with all his sophisticated weaponry, could not infiltrate or desintegrate Asanteman in the kingdom's annals but now, Asante's are now their own enemies and scheming to destroy each other.
